About.Design No. 10: Matías Gárate & Julia Reinemann
about.design No. 10 was an evening between illusion and inclusion! Art, science and responsibility came together creatively - from infinite staircases to barrier-free UX design.
Matías Gárate took the audience into paradoxical spaces and showed art that challenges logic. The doctor in astrophysics combines mathematics with visual poetry and presented impressive illustrations in his lecture “Designing Paradoxes” - from initial sketches to complex 3D works. A fascinating journey into the impossible, in which science and creativity merge in a completely new way.
In her interactive short lecture, Julia Reinemann showed which digital barriers characterize our everyday lives and why they exclude many people. With illustrative examples and clear tips, she made it clear that accessible design begins where creativity meets responsibility - and it is far more of an opportunity than a restriction. Because good design works for everyone.
